ADCOTE 498

ADCOTE 498 is a water-based EVA-copolymer resin dispersion heat seal coating that can be used for coating applications in the advanced materials industry. ADCOTE 498 offers good adhesion and seals well to various substrates like OPP, PE, OVC (HI)PS, PETP foil and PVdC-coated films. It has a minimum heat seal activation temperature of 95°C and blockpoint around 45°C. ADCOTE 498 can be applied by reverse gravure, direct gravure or with smooth roller system. It provides benefits like porosity and flexibility which are highly desirable in advanced material applications. ADCOTE 498 is suitable for use in applications that require heat sealing, pigment binding, laminating or priming. Its ability to seal at lower temperatures and block at higher temperatures makes it well-suited for applications involving heat-sealing of advanced materials.
