BYK-C 8001

BYK C 8001 is a polymeric coupling agent that can increase the mechanical strength of epoxy resin systems. BYK C 8001 was specially developed for use in glass fiber-reinforced epoxy resin systems. The additive results in improved mechanical properties of the component through increased fiber-matrix bonding. BYK C 8001 provides benefits like improved tensile strength, impact resistance and durability which are highly desirable in advanced material composites manufacturing where high performance is required. The extent of the improvement depends on the choice of the glass fiber and epoxy resin system. BYK C 8001 can be added to either the hardener or the epoxy resin.
