BAYSILONE OL17

BAYSILONE OL17 is a clear, colorless, slightly yellowish liquid of polyether-modified polysiloxane designed to enhance flow and leveling properties, as well as surface smoothness in solvent- and water-based coating systems. This 100% active, VOC-free solution features a pH value of 600–800 mPa·s, a density of 1.025–1.050 g/cm3 in ISO 2811 (20 °C), and a viscosity of 600–800 mPa.s DIN in 53015 (23 °C). BAYSILONE OL17 serves as an effective flow promoter, reducing orange peel and preventing crater formation for improved surface smoothness. It is recommended primarily for use in top coats, as it may intensify defects caused by over-baking. Additionally, it exhibits good compatibility with a wide variety of binders.
