BORCHERS DECA ZIRCONIUM 8 AQUA is a zirconium drier meticulously formulated for water-based systems. This clear and colorless to slightly yellowish liquid offers a metal content of Zr: 7.80 – 8.20% ISO 4619, non-volatile content of 35.00 – 43.00% ISO 3251 (2g, 3h, 105°C), viscosity of Max. 150 mPa.s (20°C) ISO 3219 (A), density of 0.970 – 1.020 g/cm³ DIN 51757 (20 °C), and a solvent of Paraffinic mineral oil. BORCHERS DECA ZIRCONIUM 8 AQUA is a widely used secondary drier, often combined with cobalt, manganese, Borchi® OXY-Coat 1101, and calcium. Based on metal salts of neodecanoic acid, it promotes through-drying primarily by forming coordination bonds. Notably, it offers superior properties in terms of color, yellowing, and stability compared to other secondary driers. This formulation is specifically designed for water-based systems.
