BYK-P 9920

BYK P 9920 is an additive specially developed for use in fiber reinforced composites. BYK P 9920 improves the wetting of glass or carbon fibers which results in less air entrapment and porosity in composites. This leads to composite materials with reduced scrap rates and avoidance of dry spots. The epoxy functional groups in BYK P 9920 enable embedding into composite matrices. As a result, BYK P 9920 provides benefits such as enhanced mechanical properties, durability and quality of finished composite materials. BYK P 9920 can be added at any stage of composite processing and is suitable for closed mold composite manufacturing techniques. The high non-volatile content of over 90% makes it ideal as an additive for composite systems.
