OCTA-SOLIGEN 144 AQUA

OCTA-SOLIGEN 144 AQUA is a combination drier specifically formulated for the oxidative drying of alkyd resins. It appears as a clear and moderately viscous violet liquid with a metal content including Co: 0.95 – 1.05%, Zn: 3.10 – 3.30%, Zr: 7.00 – 7.40%, and Total: 11.05 – 11.75% per DIN 55901. It has a viscosity range of 50 – 190 mPa·s (ISO 3219, 20 °C), a density of 1.010 – 1.050 g/cm³ (DIN 51757, 20 °C), and uses water-dispersible oil as a solvent. OCTA-SOLIGEN 144 AQUA offers advantages such as being a multi-metal mixture suitable for drying light-colored water-based paints. It is easily incorporated into aqueous coating systems, and the synergies between metals allow for minimizing cobalt content, reducing discoloration and yellowing. OCTA-SOLIGEN 144 AQUA is particularly well-suited for medium- and long-oil alkyds applied at a wet film thickness below 100 microns.
