EMPIGEN BS/FA

EMPIGEN BS/FA is an aqueous solution of cocamidopropyl betaine used in the production of cosmetics and cleaning formulations. As an amphoteric surfactant, EMPIGEN BS/FA is compatible with anionic, nonionic, cationic and other amphoteric surfactants. It can give formulation and performance benefits for applications involving abundant stable foam, superior foaming and cleansing in the presence of soap and hard water. Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) is often used in conjunction with primary anionic surfactants, such a sodium laureth sulfate, where it helps to improve mildness as well as boosting the viscosity and foam characteristics of the formulation.
