ISODODECANE

INCI : Isododecane Isododecane has a medium evaporation rate, and due to its high molecular purity will evaporate cleanly with no residue. It is highly hydrophobic, but is also an excellent surface wetting agent for a wide range of pigments and minerals. Either in the form of predispersed colour pigments, or incorporated directly into the formulation as an extender, isododecane is the perfect colour delivery system. Improved dispersion/pigment efficiency has major benefits for product performance and economics. As a carrier solvent for film forming polymers and gloss agents, isododecane is a non-invasive option for applications such as wear resistant lip products, water resistant mascara and hair care. With its high spreading efficiency, and silky feel on drying, isododecane is also a popular emollient in skin care products, especially with products formulated for men, where a lighter, dryer feel is often preferred.
